Negative Sentence (part 2) Phrase noun

 

·        Negative sentences use the word (mashi) before noun /Adjective. 

                          rule noun: mashi +noun/adjective

Affirmative statement                             Negative statement

ana msta3d (I am ready)                      ana mashi msta3d (i am not ready).

nta mtfael (u r optimistic)                    nta mashi mtfael (u r not optimistic)

ana rajl (I am a man)                          ana mashi mra (i am not a woman).

nti mshghula (u r busy).                      nti mashi mshghula (u r not busy)

nta m7dud (u r a lucky man)              nta mashi ma7dud (u r not a lucky man)

 

•       it’s often possible to use the prefix (ma) and the suffix (sh) with phrase noun.

-          Affirmative statement

-          ana msta3d  ( I am ready).

-          nta kbir bezzaf.  ( u r very old)

-          ana mwafq .  ( I am agree)

-          Negative statement

-           ana mamsta3dsh = ana mashi msta3d.

-          nta makbirsh bezzaf = nta mashi kbir bezzaf.

-          ana mamwafqsh = ana mashi mwafq.

 

- Questions

                    -     Wash nta mtekkd ? . Are u sure ?

واش نت متأكد؟                                                                   

                  -   La, ana mashi mtekkd.

أنا مَشي متأكد                                                                   



                - Wash nta mericani?  Are you american ?

واش نت ميريكاني                                   ؟                              

                   - La ana mashi mericani ana mghrebi.

لا أنا مَشي مريكاني، أنا مغربي
